This picks up about an hour after that story left off, although it's not really necessary to read it before reading this. All you need to know is that the Doctor was put through the wringer and is completely knackered basically.
This is also my first attempt at writing Jack by the way, so if it sucks feel free to pelt me with marshmallows. Not flaming ones though please.
Oddly enough I'm writing an alternate version of this as well, which diverges at a key point into a longer more angst ridden story. No rest for our perpetually put upon Time Lord in that I'm afraid. Think of it as twin time lines converging and diverging at a specific point in the space/time continuum ;B
